In Fulfillment

In some companies after an invoice has been written up by the salesperson, the Fulfillment Team will manage the order by reserving product, sourcing inventory from other stores if none is available in the shipping location, taking payment, preparing the order for shipment, scheduling delivery with the customer.

The In Fulfillment functionality provides a way for companies to control invoices that are in fulfillment using the Edit Invoices In Fulfillment security option.

Security

Edit Invoices In Fulfillment is a new security option that controls whether or not a user has the ability to edit an invoice that has the In Fulfillment checkbox selected. The In Fulfillment checkbox is located on the Invoice Cont tab of the Invoice Header. There is no security restricting users from selecting this checkbox.

By default, this security option will be automatically selected. The user will need to remove security as required.

Invoicing Maintenance

Search Options

An In Fulfillment search option has been added with a Yes/No dropdown toggle. This allows the user to see all invoices that are either in fulfillment or not.

Available Column

A new column, “In Fulfillment” has been added to the Available Columns. This will help easily identify which invoices are in fulfillment.

Invoice Header

A new checkbox, In Fulfillment has been added to the Invoice Cont. tab in the Invoice Header. When this checkbox is selected, users that do not have security to “Edit Invoices In Fulfillment” will not be able to edit the invoice.

Editing an Invoice

There are several different areas where an invoice can be edited : Invoicing Maintenance, Routing, Mapping

Without security to “Edit Invoices In Fulfillment”, the message “This invoice is controlled by Fulfillment and you cannot edit it.” will appear.

When the In Fulfillment checkbox is changed, a note will be written to the Invoice Notepad as a system generated message.
