Unexpected Error - Quitting
If you do not feel comfortable completing these steps, please call our Technical Support Team.
This error can be seen at various different times. You may see it when you are attempting to log into EPASS. You may see it while EPASS is updating.
RESOLUTION
Is the EPASS shortcut set to ‘run as administrator’?
- Right click on the shortcut, select ‘properties’
- Click ‘Advanced’
- Put a check mark in the box beside ‘Run as administrator’ and click OK
- Try logging in again.
If that doesn’t work, or you are seeing this error during updating EPASS, verify .NET Framework version 3.5 is installed.
Click your Windows button
If you see ‘Control Panel’ in your menu, click on it, otherwise start typing ‘Control Panel’ and open it.
When it opens, it will typically look like one of these:
Select the highlighted option to open the window showing the currently installed applications on your computer. On the left side of the window, find and click on “Turn Windows features on or off”.
You can see .NET Framework 3.5 is not selected; therefore, it is not installed. Click in the little box to select it and click OK.
When you see the following window, select “Let Windows Update download the files for you”.
After the installation is complete, reboot your machine. You should now be able to log into EPASS.
