ποΈ Departments
Departments are used primarily for two purposes; to separate multiple stores or sales and service departments from dispatching so you only see dispatching related to your store or department and to filter out the job status, salesperson, route, and map zones by invoice type so you can only choose related options. Some examples of departments could be sales and service, or Store 1 and Store 2, or even Store 1 sales and Store 2 sales or Store 1 service and Store 2 service.
ποΈ Email Formats
The purpose of email formats is to allow you to easily send nicely formatted emails. These emails can include HTML (which allows for different colors, fonts, hyperlinks, embedded pictures, etc.), multiple attachments, customized sender information, and you can even include fields from the invoice within the message (like a mail-merge). Once your email format is set up it can then be used to one-click email (from the email invoice drop-down on the toolbar) or to batch email confirmations, surveys, etc.
ποΈ Extended Warranty
You can add an extended warranty to EPASS that your sales staff can offer at the point of sale. When you add an extended warranty, you define its attributes, including giving it a unique code and description, the list price, cost, and who itβs supplied from. You can also control the sale of these warranties by limiting them to be sold only on specific items or items that meet a specified price range.
ποΈ Inventory Division
Inventory Division is a way to allocate and group inventory by divisions. For example, retail inventory vs builder inventory, or retail inventory separated by regions. This feature allows you to control what inventory division users get access to view and reserve stock from.
ποΈ Location Restrictions
Location restrictions allow you to control who can see inventory in certain locations and also who can perform what actions with inventory in certain locations. This would let you restrict one branch from being able to see inventory at another branch, or maybe you allow them to see it but not reserve their inventory. You could also prevent people from transferring inventory directly to a store location, bypassing a transfer truck. There are many combinations you could use.
ποΈ Miscellaneous Type
A misc. type is a way to group your misc. codes, which makes for a more efficient way of searching misc. codes in EPASS. You can then use the misc. type code when running reports to select the group opposed to selecting multiple individual misc. codes.
ποΈ Sales Division
Sales division is where you define the various front end divisions of your business. For example, retail sales division, builder sales division, furniture sales division, lighting sales division, etc. Once sales divisions are set up, you can control which division a branch, invoice type, misc. type, misc. code and user belongs to.
ποΈ Table 1 and Table 2
These are commonly used in place of the sales referral field from the invoice header. You can use one for tracking referrals and fees that need to be paid and the other to track what type of advertising allowed the customer to find you. This provides your company flexibility in how you want to use them.
