EPASS Mobile Pay App Download and Installation

Follow the steps below to fully set up the app and get it ready for use.

Install the App to Your Device

1. Download the .apk file to your device and then open it.

2. At the prompt, tap Install.

   

3. Open the app once it’s finished installing.

   

4. Allow the app to access the device’s location.

   

5. Allow the app to find and connect to nearby devices.

   

6. Allow the app to send notifications.

   

   Note

   If you don’t allow the EPASS Pay Mobile app to access the device’s location or connect to nearby devices, the app will not work with a card reader that uses a Bluetooth connection (for example, the tDynamo5).

   If you don’t allow the EPASS Pay Mobile app to access USB connected devices, the app will not work with a card reader that uses a USB connection (for example, the iDynamo6).

   If you don’t allow the EPASS Pay Mobile app to send notifications, the app will not send you reminder notifications.

Configure App Settings

1. If you are currently logged in, tap Logout.

2. Tap Settings.

   

3. Enter the Administrator Username and Password, and then tap Login.

4. Do the following:

Connect a Card Reader

Connect MagTek tDynamo5 (Bluetooth connection)

1. Verify that you’ve selected MagTek tDynamo 5 as the card reader in App Settings (see above).

2. Put the MagTek tDynamo5 into Pairing mode by holding down the Power button for 3 seconds. (The button is located on the right side of the card reader.)

   

   While in Pairing mode, the LED light on the card reader flashes blue.

3. Open Bluetooth connections on your mobile device.

4. Locate the tDynamo card reader in the list of devices, and then tap it.

   

5. When prompted, enter PIN number 000000.

   

6. Once the PIN number is entered, the card reader connects to your mobile device and displays a solid green light.

   

The card reader is connected and ready for use.

Connect to MagTek tDynamo6 (USB connection)

1. Verify that you’ve select MagTek tDynamo6 as the card reader in App Settings.

2. Connect the card reader to the USB-C slot in the bottom of your mobile device.

   

3. Once connected, EPASS Mobile Pay will detect the card reader.

Enable Security Options in EPASS

1. Log into EPASS.

2. Go to Tools > System Maintenance. Click User Security, and then click Open.

   

3. Select a User or Group who will use EPASS Mobile Pay, and then click Security.

   

4. Enter Mobile Pay in the Keyword field. Enable the appropriate security options.

   

5. Click OK.

EPASS Mobile Pay is now ready to use!
